This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growing Real Estate business. If you are a self-starter, with at least 15 years' experience in Construction, and Property Development, we want to hear from you.

You will be responsible for identifying potential real estate development projects, support their development through the planning stage up until the construction completion stage and ensure that projects are successfully handed over in an effective and timely manner.

As the Head of Property Development department, you will play a key role in assisting the VP to develop the strategic objectives for the department, and contribute to overall direction of Real Estate. You will take lead in presenting businesses cases and key updates to senior management team including President, CEO, and Chairman.

Key roles & responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall strategy, operations, processes, policies and procedures for real estate development department
  • Responsible for all aspects of Real Estate Development Projects, directly and through a team of project managers. (Identifying opportunity -> project conception-> business case -> financing -> design -> construction & project management-> handover)
  • Responsible for all financial aspects, KPIs, reporting, tendering, negotiation, contracting, etc for the development department
  • Manage all internal and external stake holders such as contractors, external engineering and cost consultants, governmental authorities, owner representatives, project managers, etc
  • Be aware of macro and micro factors that impact real estate industry
  • Coach and build a fit for purpose Property Development organization & team.

You must have:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture

2. 12 to 15 years of experience in real estate development management with at least 5 years in a managerial role as Head of Property Development department.

3. Experience in real estate financial accounting, budgeting, reporting and controls

4. Experience in Middle East

You will:

1. Work with a small internal Real Estate team, and manage a wide variety of outsourced service providers

2. Be comfortable with managing multiple priorities/decisions of diverse nature

Preference will be given to those with:

1. Relevant professional certifications in Property Management (CPM, RPA, etc.).

2. Arabic Skills

3. MBA
