HSE Manager - Petrochemicals - Dallas-Fort Worth, TX

A leading petrochemical business is searching for a new HSE Manager for their PSM-regulated chemicals production site in DFW.

You will ensure that all production and operations are compliant with health, safety, and environmental legislations. This will include implementing safety programs and processes to ensure all state, local, national regulations are met and exceeded.

 

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, training, transportation and other regulations required.
• Maintain and continuously improve HSE programs, including recordkeeping and submissions.
• Prepare monthly reports and notify all relevant parties/agencies of recordable injuries and environmental incidents.
• Investigate injuries, near misses, and incidents using RCA with incident reports, including corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead the site safety committee and observation programs. Oversee and champion a behavior based safety process for the site.
• Oversee the training systems and ensure compliance with all EHS training requirements.
• Monitor workplace noise and chemical exposure. Monitors chemical usage and ensures hazard communication, handling, and reporting as needed. Sets guidelines through a written process for appropriate PPE.
• Coordinate the waste minimization drive.
• Conformance with company EHS&S policies and ISO 9001 and RC14001 management system requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years of EHS experience.
• Knowledge of EHS standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI) and Behavior Based Safety.
• Professional certification (CIH, CPEA, CSP, PE) a plus.
• Experience with PSM and RC14001/ISO9001 standards
