Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) Manager
Location: Verona, PA (Pittsburgh Area)
Contract: 6-Month Renewable Contract

Position Overview
A leading industrial organization is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) Manager to support major construction and special project activities at its Verona, PA site.
This role will provide leadership, oversight, and execution support for EHSS initiatives across active construction and capital project environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong field execution experience within industrial construction projects and demonstrate the ability to build and implement site-specific safety programs in dynamic, high-risk environments.
This is an urgent requirement supporting innovative industrial technology deployment projects with significant construction activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide EHSS leadership and guidance to project site teams, contractors, engineering partners, and stakeholders
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific environmental, health, safety, and security programs
- Conduct workplace hazard analyses and risk assessments to identify and mitigate project risks
- Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, EPA, environmental, and company safety standards
- Lead contractor engagement initiatives to reinforce a proactive safety culture
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and trend reporting
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and emergency response organizations as required
- Deliver EHSS training, monitoring, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist project teams with integrating EHSS requirements into construction execution plans and work processes
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Extensive EHSS experience within industrial construction or large-scale capital projects
- Strong field execution background supporting active construction environments
- Experience managing contractor safety programs and high-risk construction activities
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and industrial safety standards
- Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and evolving project environments
Preferred Background
- Experience supporting EPC/EPCM or owner-side industrial projects
- Background in manufacturing, metals, heavy industrial, energy, or chemical environments
- Experience with complex construction activities involving multiple contractors and trades
- Safety certifications or professional credentials are highly desirable
