Project Controls Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Controls Coordinator to support large-scale industrial and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project control systems to ensure accurate tracking of cost, schedule, and performance against the project baseline.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish project-specific budgets and develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Build and maintain the project controls database using proprietary software, including assignment of activity codes and tracking project cost and progress by charge code.
  • Create comprehensive, properly linked CPM schedules to monitor project timelines.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure projects maintain positive cash flow.
  • Implement and maintain change management procedures, including monitoring change orders, trending, and forecasting issues.
  • Track and maintain historical project data, progress curves, and perform database downloads into the project controls system.
  • Support estimating, project documentation, and preparation of extra work orders and change orders.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field employees.
  • Generate weekly and monthly progress and cost reports for internal and client review.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with project controls processes, CPM scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Ability to work closely with project teams and field staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
