About the Role

Our client is a global Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor delivering some of the world's most advanced facilities across data centres, semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and other high-tech industries.

They are currently seeking two Project Engineers to support the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre project in Texas. These positions will work directly alongside senior Project Managers, with one role supporting the MEP package and the other supporting the CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) package.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional looking to develop into a Project Manager while working on a large-scale mission-critical project.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day delivery of major construction packages.
  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and trade partners to ensure work progresses safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, technical documentation and drawing reviews.
  • Track package progress, identify potential delays and assist with recovery planning.
  • Coordinate field activities between multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Attend coordination meetings with internal teams, clients and subcontractors.
  • Monitor construction progress against programme milestones.
  • Support commercial activities including change management, procurement coordination and package reporting.
  • Assist with quality inspections, punch lists and closeout activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and project quality standards.
  • Develop strong working relationships with construction teams, designers and client representatives.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3-10 years' experience within construction project delivery.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor (GC), EPC or Design-Build contractor is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting large industrial, commercial or mission-critical construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction coordination, scheduling and project documentation.
  • Experience managing:
    • RFIs
    • Submittals
    • Field coordination
    • Trade coordination
    • Package management
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following sectors is advantageous:

  • Hyperscale Data Centres
  • Mission Critical Facilities
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing
  • Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences
  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Large Industrial Construction

Data centre experience is highly desirable, but candidates with strong General Contractor experience from comparable complex construction environments will also be considered.

Package Focus

Successful candidates will support one of the following disciplines:

MEP Project Engineer

  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing construction coordination.
  • Interface with MEP subcontractors and commissioning teams.
  • Support installation sequencing and systems turnover.

CSA Project Engineer

  • Civil, Structural and Architectural package coordination.
  • Concrete, steel, building envelope and architectural finishes.
  • Coordination with multiple construction trades and subcontractors.
